MAHATMA GANDHI MERIT SCHOLARSHIP 2020
Mahatma Gandhi Merit Scholarship was initiated by Arutchelvar.Thiru.Mahalingam Aaiya in the academic year 2006- 2007 to encourage the students of Kumaraguru Institutions who excel in Academics, Sports and other social activities.Each student receives Rs.10000 as scholarship.About Rs.13 crore has been distributed to the students for the past 13 years.
Every year this ceremony will be held during the month of March at KCT.Due to this COVID 19 pandemic the ceremony was delayed and held on 2nd Oct 2020 through virtual mode.
The Scholarship for the year 2019-2020 was given to about 1200 students from KCT,KCT(BS),KCLAS and KIA.It was the first time the 40 students of Kumaraguru Institute of Agriculture received this schlorship.
Students are previledged to receive the scholarship on the auspicious day of Gandhi Jayanthi and the memorable day of our founder Arutchelvar.Thiru.Mahalingam Aaiya.
